Overview

A fun copywriting project for one of India's fastest growing hotel booking startups. I had to come up with headlines for billboards to be placed around Bangalore. The copy needed to align with the company's core offerings and to the brand's youthful, yet restrained, tone of voice.

Putting the fun in function

While the copy approach needed to be humorous, the headlines also needed to be short, since these were to become billboards along busy Bangalore streets. The message needed to be impactful and immediate.

Cultural cues

The campaign also gave me a chance to incorporate a cultural insight. Bangalore is notorious for its terrible traffic and this banner worked as a friendly reminder to motorists to take a chill pill and stop road raging.

Impact

The banners were released and placed all over Bangalore. I was proud to see my babies out in the wild and received positive feedback from the organisation.
